Caseríos de Chirche y Aripe (Guía de Isora)

The village of Chio, 400 metres above sea level, is just a few kilometres from Guía de Isora. The village has a parish church devoted to its Patron Saint: Nuestra Señora de La Paz.

In the upper part of Guía de Isora, there is a road that leads to Aripe and Chirche, where you can see plenty of Canary Island country houses.

If you go south from the town centre, you come across El Jaral and Acoteja, with their traditional Canary Island style houses. Close by is the Montaña de Tejina, 1,047 metres high. This is a protected natural area along with the hamlet of the same name. If you follow the track, you will come to the flat mesa at the top of the mountain, where you will find the abandoned hamlet of Las Fuentes, with its houses excavated into the sand-stone walls.
