Programme of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (TSO) for the 2026 - 2027 subscription concert season
The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra is a consolidated cultural initiative, supported by the Cabildo of Tenerife. Since its beginnings in 1935 as the Canary Islands Chamber Orchestra it has had six conductors: Santiago Sabina, Armando Alfonso, Edmon Colomer, Víctor Pablo Pérez, Lü Jia, Michal Nesterowicz and Antonio Méndez.
The 2026/27 season will bring together renowned artists, with soloists such as Isabelle Faust, Truls Mørk, and Seong-Jin Cho, and conductors including Pablo González (principal guest conductor), Delyana Lazarova (artistic collaborator 2026/27), Víctor Pablo Pérez (honorary conductor), and Thomas Dausgaard. The repertoire will combine essential works by Mahler, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Janáček, Strauss, Elgar, and Shostakovich with new compositions by Helga Arias, Francisco Coll, and Fazıl Say. This entire subscription symphony season is part of an annual program that includes over 90 public events, alongside opera, educational, social, and family programs, chamber music, and special concerts.
