La Guancha
This is a farming town with traditional cultural concerns. The parish church dates from the 17th century and has a Baroque main altar and some beautiful religious figurines.
Forest tracks, with their viewpoints, unusual views of Teide, the creation of recreation areas like El Lagar, with barbecue facilities, wooden tables and children's playgrounds, make the area an interesting attraction for nature lovers and photographers. The wines of La Guancha, with their golden colour and peculiar flavour, are in great demand.
