Lunar Landscape from Vilaflor
Camino de Chasna - Lunar Landscape
Trail PR-TF 72, part of the Camino de Chasna (Chasna Way), a communication route with over 500 years of history, departs from the town of Vilaflor. The exceptional landscape makes the immediate climb much easier. Groves of Canary Pine still conceal the tracks of those who would climb this route every day in search of sustenance. After around 6 km, the trail reaches a privileged vantage point, where you can contemplate the lunar landscape in all its glory. In the past, this area was reached by following the Madre del Agua track. Nowadays, access is forbidden for motor vehicles and is punishable by fines of between 100 and 1,000 Euro.
