Several utensils have been found in the Hoya Azul, El Bailadero, Laderas de Cedro, etc. archaeological sites, and burial caves at Risco de las Cabras, El Jaral, Barranco de Tejina, etc.

Rock carvings have been found at Aripe.

The parish church of La Virgen de la Luz, was formerly a hermitage. It was modernised with a thorough restoration. Of its seven reredos, three are particularly fine: the one in the chancel; the one with Jesus carrying the cross and the Virgen del Carmen one. The church also contains some important sculptures, like the Cristo de la Dulce Muerte, an anonymous 18th century painting; a canvas of the Anunciación, from the 1700's and some fine silver and gold work.
