It is very difficult to summarise the best places for a cultural visit in just a few lines.

There are many remains of the pre-Hispanic past in the borough, especially in El Andén.

Visiting the whole of Icod is a stimulating temptation. You can do the Chuch Route: Buen Paso, de la Cruz, San Felipe, El Tránsito, Las Angustias, San Antonio, El Amparo, etc. There is a wealth and variety of valuable art inside these churches.

The Plaza de la Pila, with its stately homes is worth a visit; the house of the Cáceres family, the former San Francisco convent and the chapel of Los Dolores, the former San Agustin convent, Plaza de León Huerta, Lorenzo Cáceres Park and, especially, the church of San Marcos and its Museum of Religious Art.

Figures by the most famous sculptors, reredos and silver work, like the famous filigree Cross, make up a major artistic treasure that can be seen in Icod.
