La Orotava

Given its importance as a Guanche settlement, one can imagine the abundance of archaeological remains in the borough: burial caves, such as Roques Blancos and Barranco de la Arena, and sites in Playa del Bollullo and Monte de Pinolere, etc.

The whole of La Orotava, especially the old quarter, is a site of very special cultural interest. The church of La Concepción holds important works of art, as does the parish church of San Juan Bautista del Farrobo. You must visit the church and former convent of San Agustin, the Santo Domingo church (formerly San Benito), the San Francisco church, apart from civil buildings like the Casa de los Balcones, the Casa de Mesa, Molina, Ponte-Fonte, Monteverde, Ascanio Monteverde (Liceo Taoro), etc. The Town Hall and Constitución Plazas are beautiful.
