Los Silos
Obviously, there are remains of its pre-Hispanic past in the borough. Several burial caves have been discovered, along with different kinds of utensils, in Risco de Los Silos, Isleta y Talavera, Las Moradas, El Polvillo, Vinatea, etc.
The parish church is interesting. It has changed greatly over the centuries, since it was first built in the 16th century. Since then, the choir, chapels and the Lady side chapel have been added and, in this century, the facade underwent a thorough modification. Important engravings are kept inside: the Crucifixion by Juan de Mesa, a figure of the Patron Saint, several paintings of the Canary Island School and lovely silver and gold ware, much of which was sent by islanders who had migrated to Latin America. The Baroque reredos are also worth mentioning. The Bernardas Convent, now a Cultural Centre, has been declared an historic - artistic monument.
