El Sauzal
There are many remains of its pre-Hispanic past. Several cave dwellings, burial grounds (some with mommies) and different Guanche utensils have been found. The most important sites are El Risco de los Angeles, Cueva de los Viejos, Barranco de Acentejo, Risco del Castillo, La Baranda, Las Breñas, La Garañona.
A walk through the town centre is an attractive spectacle of typical Island buildings.
An important place to visit is the San Pedro parish church that, although it dates from the 16th century, most of the work is from the 18th and 19th century. Inside, it has some valuable works of art.
Other interesting churches of the borough include: San Nicolás, Las Cruces, Las Nieves, Los Angeles, etc.
