There are abundant remains of its aboriginal past, with important burial grounds in the Cruz de las Animas ravine. There are also important sites in El Tablero, Barranco del Agua, Barranco del Brezo, Barranco Hondo, El Chorrillo, Taco, etc.
Apart from examples of traditional architecture to be seen in several houses, like El Pirata, there are also outstanding religious buildings. The parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza was built recently on the site of the original 16th century church. It houses some interesting wood carvings and paintings.
Nuestra Señora del Rosario and San Amaro is another interesting church to visit. It dates from the 16th century and was extended in the 17th century. It has lovely wood panelling and some valuable artistic pieces.
